What is a Fresh 48 Session?

Fresh 48 sessions are my favorite!  A fresh 48 session is a newborn session done at your place of birth within 48 hours of your baby being born.  This is the best way to document your baby’s first few hours of life.  This session is so important because your baby is changing so quickly during this time.  You are not going to want to forget those tiny pink toes, the peach fuzz on the side or their arm, or the little wrinkles on their forehead.  I like for Fresh 48 sessions to happen organically, no posing or props, and no special lighting.  This is truly just a time for taking in the moment and capturing it forever.

Who Is Included in the Photos:  Mom, Dad & Baby.

Where:  I will come to your place of birth, usually the hospital, a birthing center, or your home if you are planning a home birth.

When:  Fresh 48 Sessions take place during the first few hours of the day, depending on your baby’s time of birth.

How Long Does the Session Last:  Typically fresh 48 sessions take anywhere from 60-90 minutes, however with that being said we are on baby’s schedule & I will stay as long as it takes.

Why Book a Fresh 48:  You are never going to get the first few days back, it is an overwhelming & emotional time, and it is easy to forget the details.
